In early 2012 Frederick visited Denmark, Western Australia with his family and this wonderful visit lead to the Kirby’s making a huge life change and relocating their family and business …

April of 2013 saw Frederick and Jacqueline make the big move to Denmark and announce the opening of ‘Kirby’s at Rickety Gate’ Cooking School.
Fine Dining Restaurant and Wedding Venue located at the stunning Rickety Gate Estate, Denmark.

August of 2017 has seen the closing of our restaurant so that we may focus on the needs of our beautiful autistic, non-verbal son Hamish,
along with offering our services as Caterers for Weddings & Events across the Great Southern.
